Many small business owners find success with a product or service that is making money, gain a lot of skills, tools, and team members along the way, and then feel completely overwhelmed. If you want to be in business for the long haul, that feeling of overwhelm is your sign to slow down – aka put systems in place inside your business.

In my Uplevel with Asana Course Review you’ll see that this course will absolutely teach you about Asana, but it’s about so much more than just this project management tool. This course will take you back to basics and really uplevel your entire business. It’s like the college marketing course you might never have had access to.

Louise Henry will teach you how to help keep business goals focused and create an organization system that aligns with the direction you want to take it into. You’ll learn about breaking big goals into small manageable steps and how to keep eyes on all the moving pieces that are happening on the path to reaching that goal. Team communication will be brought into one space to give you back hours of CEO time that you might currently be spending chasing your tail.

You’ll learn a lot about business strategy and finally have a tidy, peaceful digital office to walk into each and every morning. Imagine how much faster you can reach your goals once you have a strong foundation supporting you.

I’ve taken this course beginning to end three times, and I learn new things from Louise every time because she brings a wealth of experience to the course and pairs it with her patient, encouraging, systematic teaching style.

Who is Louise Henry?

Louise Henry is all about leveraging tech to keep business simple. She helps you uncover areas of your business where you have overcomplicated the process and boil it down to something simple that gets repeatable results. She encourages students to dream big and also shares her big dreams with us along the way. Louise leads by example by pouring her profits back into causes near and dear to her heart like her non-profit Tim’s Club.

You’ll feel peaceful about business as you watch her Instagram content, learn on her YouTube channel, and she’s just as genuine on a 1:1 call if you ever have the honor to spend time with her in that capacity.

What is Uplevel with Asana?

Uplevel Asana is a comprehensive online course to help your business step into its project management era. I have taken 3 Asana courses and this one is the gold standard by a landslide.

Uplevel with Asana is clearly organized into sequential modules which you will see at the top of the screen as soon as you log into Kartra. Louise Henry listens to student feedback and is always adding new resources, while organizing them in a way that does not distract from the core path she designed for the learner when creating the course.

Uplevel with Asana: The Basics

Since Asana is something that requires visuals to learn, most of the course is delivered through video but you can expect to see transcripts, fillable workbooks, and templates throughout the course to accommodate all learning styles.

In the introduction she will encourage you to take the course modules in order and I agree with that suggestion. The learning truly does build on previous modules so take your time, reflect, take action, and make the most of your investment in this course.

Do not skip the Design Your Vision module. Your Asana project management space is a custom build for YOUR dreams, YOUR goals, and how YOUR brain works. If you don’t get clear on where you are trying to go, then you’ll be spending your days spinning your wheels without direction.

And the Design Your Strategy module is worth the cost of the course (yes, before we even dive into Asana itself). People pay high ticket coaches big bucks to simplify their business to the 4 core pieces that truly have to be right in order for a business to run efficiently and be profitable.

You know that any course that talks about your capacity before starting to place tasks on your to-do list is a winner in my book. Once those building blocks are all strong, module 5 will start to move into the topic of Asana.

Setting up your account properly the first time, understanding the benefits of using a Gmail vs a domain email when you sign up. and learning about how teams are structured – – – Louise will talk you through these early decisions patiently because setting up a solid foundation at the start sets the whole process up for success.

After you sketch out the shell of your workweek you’ll have the opportunity to learn about some templates that Louise offers. She’ll demo each template, show the WHY behind creating it, explain who it is for and how it can help, and you’ll become a project management pro along the way. Your business doesn’t need all of these templates, but slowly learning about each one really helps stretch your brain as an online business owner. If you see a template that you need, Louise will show you how to install it into your Asana account so you aren’t starting from scratch.

She’ll share plenty of best practices along the way for using the templates and customizing them and then move into a module about the power of team members. Having all team communication in one place (Asana) is such a sanity saver. I touch upon this in my free hiring guide but once I moved team communication into Asana I knew I would never go back to spreading my attention across email, DMs, Slack, etc.

My Experience with Louise Henry’s Asana Course

I came to learn Asana and left with so much more clarity on how to run a business. As a virtual support provider, I have the honor of working behind the scenes in businesses of all shapes and sizes so I really appreciated the opportunity to learn about all of the features on both the free and paid Asana plans in this course. When Louise demonstrated a paid feature, she never pressured us to upgrade and she always provided a work around if we chose to stay on the free account (which I plan to stay on forever).

I truly love setting up custom Asana workspaces for teacher business owners and this course provided me with so much perspective to show up for those business owners and help create a truly custom solution that feels like a perfect fit for their needs. Louise is an incredible teacher and I’ll always be grateful to her for encouraging me to make my own Asana course that was specific to what teacher business owners need. She cheered me on and encouraged me to share my love of project management with as many online business owners as possible and I’ll always remember that about her as a mentor.

Is Uplevel with Asana Right for YOU?

I truly enjoyed this course but let’s make sure it’s the right next step for you.

1️⃣ If you know enough about your learning style to know that finishing a course and taking action is not something that always happens, but you really want to get started leveraging the power of a project management tool, you might prefer to invest in having an Asana workspace built for you during a VIP week.

2️⃣ If you worry that having too much information about businesses of different shapes and sizes could leave you with decision fatigue about what parts of the course apply for your particular teacher business, you might prefer this course written specifically for teacher business owners.

3️⃣ If you are hungry for a deep dive to learn as much about business and project management as possible, then you can’t go wrong with Uplevel with Asana.
